Iraj Abedian is Chief Executive of Pan-African Capital Holdings. He was professor of economics at the UCT and has been actively involved in socio-economic policy discourses and policy development in South Africa. He has also served on numerous governmental advisory panels and was a member of the Presidential Review Commission (1997/98). He is a sought-after economic commentator and analyst.

Alan Hirsch is Professor of Development Policy and Practice at the Mandela School of Public Governance at UCT and its founding director. He joined the South African Department of Trade and Industry in 1995. From 2002 to 2012 he managed economic policy in the South African Presidency. He is a member of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Presidential Economic Advisory Council.
